Hello there! I have to apologize for the long delay in posts. A few things have been going on here and I finally had a little bit of down time to myself that I could update everyone!
First things first, WE JUST CLOSED ON OUR FIRST HOME!!! I am probably just a tad excited, but this is our first home bought as a couple! We put in our offer back in December and had to wait very patiently until just last week to get an official answer. We closed last Friday and I can’t wait to get things cleaned up and ready to live in. It is an old vintage style home here in McPherson with a lot of beautiful features. It is going to be a great new creative atmosphere to live and work in. A big perk about it is that I will eventually have my own office/studio. (Most of you probably didn’t know that I work out of the corner of our bedroom right now!) We will be doing a lot of work on our new home to make it our own, so expect a lot of before and after posts during the next few years (yes, years!)
Another exciting thing is that Beautiful Isolations Photography has just become an LLC! It’s something I have been pondering for awhile now, and I am proud to say, with the help of Jake, I finally did it!
With that said, I just have to say how much I have loved my down season this year. I usually don’t get much time off during the winter months, or I get extremely busy with other things between wedding seasons. The last couple of months have been really good to me. I have been able to genuinely enjoy spending time with Jake without the guilty feeling that I could be working on a session instead of simply relaxing. We obviously have been making some life changing decisions as well, like whether we wanted to live in McPherson more permanently or not.. We also got a puppy in November and I kinda like to cuddle with him! It’s also been a great time to think about the changes I want to make in my business, what direction I want to go, and really focus on just a few things at a time. So besides all the crazy and exciting new things that have been going on in our lives, I have honestly just enjoyed spending time with my family and not trying to do a million things at once!
Now, this doesn’t mean that I have decided to slow down completely! It just means that I had a nice little break and now I will be slowly coming out of my winter hibernation =) Which by the way, you should watch this episode of Happy Endings, The Butterfly Effect Effect It’s hilarious.
KarilynWow, congrats on all the awesome change in your life! How fun:-)
StaciI am so excited for you, about EVERYTHING!
